          When does the season begin?

Conditioning for cheer and football begin August 1, 2008.

What does my son/daughter have to have to play?

        They have to have a
current physical completed in 2008 on a Pop Warner form
          A certified birth certificate

A full 4 quarter report card for the last school year

What does the registration costs cover?

There are a large number of costs involved in running a non-profit organization.....
Equipment upgrades which are mandatory and ensure the safety of the kids.
Equipment and uniforms loaned to the child for the season.
Insurance for children who play with this association.
Referee fees are another expense of the association.
Advertisements for registration, newspapers, ads, post cards and flyers for registration dates.
Trophies for every child
Sponsor shirts
Entry fee's into bowl games and cheer competitions.
These are just some of the expenses of running Havelock Pop Warner.

How can I become more involved or ask questions?

We have monthly league meetings with the sole purpose of letting the parents know what the status of our season is and what we have planned. We are always open to suggestions and appreciate when the parents attend the meetings. The date is always listed on the home page.

Are there other expenses during the season?

Yes there are, there are certain items the cheerleaders and football players need to have. There are no costs for the uniforms as they are loaned until the season is over. If the uniform is not in the same condition as when you get it, you will be charged for it. Because of the cost of the uniforms are so high we have limited sizes available, we will do the best to accommodate you but we must work with what we have.
As a fundraiser we charge admission to our home games as do a lot of other associations. We are also charged to get into bowl games and cheerleading competitions.

What to do if I disagree with a coach?

The first thing to do is remember there are children around we need to set a good example for them and control ourselves. There is a time and place for everything and it's never a good idea to have children and other parents around while you are discussing these issues. Try to speak to the coach about it, if that does not work or you would like to have someone else talk to them you should contact your football or cheer coordinator and let them handle the issue. If they are unable to settle it they will contact the vice-president for assistance.

Does anyone involved in the association get paid for their position?

No, association is made up of 100% volunteers. The board, coaches and assistants take extreme amounts of time to make sure the children in Havelock have an opportunity to participate in sports. They teach our children, take required classes and even volunteer throughout the entire year to raise money so the children will have the necessary funds for a successful season.

Do you accept donations?

Yes we accept any sponsors, it helps Havelock Pop Warner. Our league continues to grow and this season we are not raising our registration fee's so we are always looking for sponsors. More coming soon on the sponsors page.
